Can you draw?

drawing dragon32 Can you draw?
~*Grasp my Heartstrings, Baby*~ asked:

I am writing a story and I need a illustrater for my front cover. When it gets published, you will get half of whatever I earn. I was thinking about a black dragon, standing with his head slightly turned. Also there would be a blonde haired girl standing in between his front leg with a sword in the ground and an egg the size of an ostritch egg in her other hand. Can you do it?

Well, I would really suggest you to do NOT search for people that will get thousands of money from the internet. You don’t know who lies. He could just turn up something and take all the money! I really suggest you to do not do that. This is internet! Everybody lies!

I suggest you that you put some post of it in some newspapers, magazines etc.. Not from the internet. Or, if you do have an agent for publishing the book, ask him about someone who could design it! Or, if you don’t have an agent, then you can ask friends for some friends of them who can draw. Then again, you could just ask the people in the publishing company.

by the way, I would really suggest you to put a lawyer in this whole thing. You can’t make a deal with not official law stuff. The designer, could easily steal the whole story! Ask your lawyer for some contracts etc..

    Hope i helped!

    See ya!

I wouldn’t concern myself with a cover. It’s not needed unless you are planning to self publish your work.

If you are looking to get your work published if it is picked up then they will deal with having a cover produced and designed for it. You aren’t likely to get anyone just over the internet and working pro-bono. I would suggest looking into submission guidelines for publishing companies and look at possibly getting a literary agent if you are serious about writing.

Yes My daughter can and she is under 18 and so I will speak for her. She is good at dragons, she does anime, manga also. How would you like to go about a contract to get what you talking about 1/2 of your profits?
